Going phone free
My Phone-Free Sunday began on a brisk fall morning back in 2016 on New York’s Upper East Side, while watching my son’s U8 football match. Well, kind of watching. Like every other parent, I was physically there—but mentally lost in a vortex of scrolling, liking, tweeting, and toggling between mild outrage and envy’. Tony B, Founder.
On the way home, as we crossed Central park, I decided to delete all my social media apps and make a Precommitment to one phone-free day each week. Why Sunday? Not because Sunday itself holds any magic, but because stepping away from the screen, on any day, allows life to rush back in.
